About usOlivia - Owner and Gym Director
The opportunity to open The Little Gym in Ireland crossed my path in 2005 and after my first visit to The Little Gym in London I had full belief in the concept. I have been a sports enthusiast all my life and I believe all children should play sport and more importantly enjoy sport. The philosophy of The Little Gym is entirely about that and the curriculum focuses on building children's confidence through our activties. I am delighted to open the first Little Gym in Dublin.
Sinéad - Program Director
Hi! My passion all my life has been gymnastics so to work at The Little Gym and teach children gymnastics is fantastic. I have worked with children for as long as I can remember and I instantly fell in love with The Little Gym concept. I studied Leisure and Disability and I am also a gymnastic instructor and a swimming instructor. In gymnastics, I have trained abroad and competed at a national level. I have joined a very energetic, enthusastic team here at The Little Gym and look forward to teaching all your children.
Thaisa - Lead Developmental Gymnastics Instructor
I have worked with children for over 7 years now and I love working with them. I am also a keen sports person so to be able to combine my love for children and sports at The Little Gym is fantastic. I have a degree in Physical Education and I love having the opportunity to combine my knowledge of Phyiscal Education and children in this fun, energetic environment.
Stephanie - Developmental Gymnastics Instructor
Hey! I'm from Boston, Massachusetts in the USA and have been living in Ireland for 2 years now. I hold my Bachelor's degree in Sports Management from Pepperdine University in California and studied motor skills development during my coursework. I am always excited to teach the kids here at The Little Gym starting with my baby Beasties all the way up to the fabulous and talented Aerials. Gymnastics has always been my life; I trained competitively for 16 years in the sport and have coached children of all ages for 10 years now...it's definitely my passion. It's so cool to go to work every morning and see the smiling faces on the kids ready for an action-packed class!
Aisling - Developmental Gymnastics Instructor
I have always enjoyed sports. I started with gymnastics and athletics at the age of 5 and ventured into basketball and rugby later on. Currently I am studying Paediatrics at Trinity and work part-time at The Little Gym. I really value and appreciate the importance for young children to incorporate both music and sport into their learning.
Lorcan - Developmental Gymnastics Instructor
Hey. I'm studying Biochemistry and Genetics in UCD at the moment, halfway to finishing my BSc degree. I am a very active person so I thoroughly enjoy a job like this that keeps me on my feet! I have a passion for sports of any kind, including extreme sports. I take gymnastics and acrobatics classes in my hometown of Celbridge, where I practice my tricks, but not the kind of tricks you play on people, more like the ones where you jump around. I really enjoy teaching children and feel privileged to be working here at The Little Gym.
Padraigh - Developmental Gymnastics Instructor
Hi! My name is Pad, but let me tell you a little about myself. I am currently a student at NUI Maynooth, and am going for a degree in Astrophysics. I really should have picked something easier!!! But I suppose its great learning how planets bop around. As for the future, I dont really know where I will end up because I'm interested in so many things! I would most like to be a cross between a gymnast, a physicist, a tracuer, a body builder, a musician, a professional actor and a film maker...who writes his own plays. To this day I still enjoy working with children since I am just a big 'ol kid. I hope I can make a difference here.
Amanda - Developmental Gymnastics Instructor
Hi, I live in Terenure, Dublin. I recently joined The Little Gym team this summer. From the age of 5, I have been involved in gymnastics and have participated in the sport as a gymnast and coach ever since. Throughout school and college, I have been involved in a number of sports competing in athletics and basketball. I just finished my Master's degree in Strength and Conditioning at the University of Edinburgh. I look forward to encouraging children to have a fit and healthy lifestyle and teaching them new skills, which hopefully they can continue for a lifetime!
Samantha - Developmental Gymnastics Instructor
Hey everyone! I’m a local girl from Clondalkin, Dublin. I finished my Sports Therapy Course from Crumlin College three years ago. I love working with children, so its great being able to use my qualifications here at The Little Gym! I’ve been involved in the sport of gymnastics since I was 9yrs old. I competed in Sports Acrobatics in various competitions nationally and internationally. I have always been active, and besides gymnastics, I used to compete in athletics and played camogie. I started coaching gymnastics when I retired from competing and coached for 3 years at Clondalkin Gymnastics Club, before starting my Sports Therapy course. So I’m excited to be back coaching again.
Hey! My name is Seán and I'm a local here in Clondalkin, Dublin. I'm a fluent Irish speaker and I've always loved sports and keeping active, so with a job like this I couldn't be happier! I have been involved in gymnastics and martial arts for most of my life now and I have also used those skills to further myself as a Free Runner/Tracuer. Having taught children before in different aspects of sports, it's a great change of pace getting to teach in a non-competitive environment using music and games and helping them develop through having fun. I love working with the kids here at The Little Gym, they really know how to keep us all on our feet! |
