MAXINE PHILIPS
Hi, I’m Maxine :)
I am very excited to have joined The Little Gym, Chiswick!
My background is in dance, as I studied Dance and Culture at the University of Surrey. I took a professional placement year with Phoenix dance Theatre in Leeds, as the company’s Education Assistant, teaching in primary and secondary schools and running their youth dance company, Bennu.
Whilst studying for my undergraduate degree I also qualified as a Freestyle Teacher with IDTA, as well as taking my YMCA Exercise to Music qualification which qualifies me as a studio instructor to teach group exercise classes.
After graduating I joined mapdance, Chichester University’s postgraduate touring contemporary company. Whilst in mapdance I toured with the company for 6 month around the UK and I also taught workshops as part of the Pedagogy Team.
After studying for 5 years I have finally moved to London to pursue my career in dance and teaching. Currently I teach part time for TLG, so I also teach for Shobana Jeyasingh Dance Company and dance for Flat Feet Company.
I love teaching and leading class in the pre-k programme here at the gym, and I am looking forward to training in both the parent child and grade school programmes. I also run the Birthday parties on Sundays which is great fun and I get to eat lots of cake!!
I’m sure I will speak to you all soon, bye for now!! J
ROSIE FROST

Hi, Im Rosie and I’ve been working at The Little Gym since November 2007. I have a background spanning eight years in Sports Acrobatic Gymnastics and have trained at Richmond Gymnastics Associaton and Heathrow Gymnastics Club, where I represented Great Britain in the Freedom Cup in LA.
I love gymnastics and after retiring from the competitive side, coaching was a good way to keep up my passion for the sport.
Here at TLG I am a lead instructor in our Pre- School and Grade School classes and also teach birthday parties.
I look forward to meeting you all in the gym soon!
NITASHA PULLEN

Hi there! My name is Nitasha and I have been part of TLG Chiswick since May 2010. I used to train at Richmond Gymnastics Association for 9 years from the age of six in artistic and sports acro gymnastics. I used to be part of Richmond Junior arts festival where I used to run the under 6 programme consisting of arts, craft, music and dance. I also used to coach part time while studying at University for a FDA in Art and Design, however after a year I realised that this was not my true passion and this was more of a hobby. My true passion lies with working with children and coaching gymnastics...enter The Little Gym!!
I started working at The Little Gym in 2010 and I am a lead instructor in all three programmes. I love being able to interact with children on a daily basis and building a good rapport with them and their parents. The best thing about what I do is being able to share my knowledge about gymnastics everyday with children who want to learn, grow and develop, and I am so proud to be able to help them in whatever way I can.
I look forward to seeing you all in the gym, and parents I am always available to talk to you about anything you want to, so come and see me in the lobby!!
LORRAE GUILFOYLE
Hi everyone.. I am delighted to work with such a fantastic team and learn about our great programme that clearly our little ones enjoy thoroughly. I have quite an extensive background in artistic gymnastics, having started the sport at just the tender age of five, I instantly became very passionate about gymnastics and didn‘t stop competing until I was nineteen. During this time I managed to get onto the Irish National Squads for both artistic gymnastics and tumbling, competing in both sports across Ireland and internationally on occasion. I have coached gymnastics for 3 years prior to joining The Little Gym so I feel I can offer a great deal of knowledge and experience to the team and most importantly our kids. I will be involved in several classes during the week and I throroughly look forward to meeting each and everyone of my new gymnasts and developing them into superstars while having some serious fun!
Thanks.
Lorrae.
JESSICA FOX

Hi! I’m Jess. I joined the Chiswick team in September 2011. Previously I worked full time at the Little Gym Harpenden from January 2010 to March 2011 and loved it! I had to leave to start my Children’s nursing training at London South Bank University with placements at Great Ormond Street Hospital. In the holidays I nanny for a 15 month old and a 3 year old!
I’m another keen Lacrosse player and represented Hertfordshire County from 2007 to 2011. Prior to TLG I spent a month in Kenya, teaching in the Kibera slums. I went back for my 3rd visit with some donations from TLG which the children loved!
I absolutely love The Little Gym, its programme and philosophy. I’ve met some amazing people from all over the world through it! It’s got such a great family feel to the whole franchise, my sister even ended up working at two of The Little Gyms in Hong Kong for six months!
DAISEY OAKLEY

Hello everyone! My name is Daisey and I am very excited about working with The Little Gym. I started working with The Little Gym in September 2011 and I have loved every minute here. I trained in a Gymnastics school for some years at a young age and I loved it. I realised I wanted to work with children many years ago and The Little Gym is everything I wanted, due to the fun friendly atmosphere. I love working with the children here and ensuring their party is perfect and fun! When I am not working in the Gym I spend my time with my family or travelling around Europe and up and down the country following Football. I am very passionate about football and this is definitely a big part of my life.
I look forward to meeting as many members of The Little Gym and having a chat with all the parents. I love meeting new people, so if you are ever here at the same time as me – please, come and have a chat!
